you're too clean

For today's Sh*t Men Say link up I don't want to throw Bradley under the bus here and say that he is a slob... but let's just say that his version of clean and my standards are very, very different.

Let's back track a tiny bit. I grew up in a small house. Six people. Three bedrooms. One bathroom. Not much room for stuff and as a family of 6 we had a lot of stuff. That also meant we did not have enough room for said stuff most of the time. We were by no means hoarders - but small space, lots of stuff made me loathe clutter.
In my world there should be a place to put everything. A closet, a shelf, a drawer, etc. This is where Bradley and I tend to differ.... Bradley views our kitchen counter as the space to drop everything when he comes home. He also feels the same way about our living room floor, his side of the bedroom, the dining room table, etc..

The other day I was giving him a hard time about not putting his things away and he had the audacity to tell me that he was not dirty, but that I was just too clean

Excuse

Me?

Too Clean?! I was not amused. I was so annoyed. I think I even threw whatever I had in my hand at the time at him... which let's be honest it was probably some of his crap I was picking up. Too Clean?! There is no such thing. In fact, if I had more time on my hands I would clean even more, because a clean home is a happy home.
Maybe I should have been a house maid in my previous life?

Cheers to being clean!

Sh*t Men Say

So I always get really excited at the thought of participating in this Sh*t Men Say link-up that is hosted by Amanda at Voyage of the MeeMee and Danae from Duh! Danae! However, there is a slight problem - Bradley is never not weird. As you have probably caught on from all of his Bachelor recaps. His thought process is usually baffling and off the wall. As my mother once said, 'sometimes, I just don't understand Brad's humor'. It's ok mom, neither do I. In fact while typing this up, I just got a snap chat video where he took the little french bull dog statue that I bought him when we first started dating and he recreated the scene from the Lion King song and all. Can't make this stuff up, people. Basically, what I am trying to say is, it is hard to pick just one thing Brad says or does to talk about. The guy is just an odd ball, but I suppose that is why I keep him around. I can't say he isn't entertaining.

Bradley is also the type of person where once he gets an idea for something, he goes all out. Think Jim's level of excitement on the Office during the Office Olympics.

I mean the kid got so into the Bachelor this season he put together an entire Bachelor Fantasy Draft. What male does that?! Speaking of the Bachelor - no spoilers we are watching it tonight. Don't worry I will make him recap the final episode for you all. I know you would be heartbroken if he didn't.

The board he made for the draft night (because yes, there was a draft night and yes he made an auction board for it) featured 8x11 colored cutouts of each of the female contestants. Side note: he did struggle with the board and first wrote Juan Carlos instead of Juan Pablo. It's hard to tell, but he wrote the Pablo part on an envelope and taped it onto the board. He took the time to cut each photo out! He writes weekly recaps of each episode and got far too invested in his favorite girl Renee. I think he is still trying to win her love over mine.  I am sure he would make a great step-dad for Renee's son. He is kind of a child still sometimes, they would play great together.

Moral of the story, I need to be better about keeping track of the weird sh*t Brad says and does. I feel like he would be the most entertaining contestant on a show like Big Brother where they constantly have cameras on him...

Cheers to Bradley being weird!
