oh tuesday

Oh Hey Tuesday,

Glad you stopped by. I just decided to act like Monday wasn't a real thing. Instead I took the day off and went wine tasting with Brad and his parents while they are still here for a few more days. The weather was perfect, the wine was lovely, but most importantly I got to play with my camera at each vineyard. Now of course I was not on top of my life and the photos are still on my camera, but that is neither here nor there. 

I will leave you with a few iphone photos from this weekend to make up for leaving you yesterday and being unprepared today. Lazy as sheet. You're welcome.

Holy Moly. Mother's you are worth the hype and the wait. Gawd, the Wild Salmon Hash I had was phenomenal.

Almost as phenomenal as the weather during wine tasting yesterday. 

Lastly, if you're making this pumpkin bread from Trader Joe's without the chocolate chipies, you're doing it wrong.

too much

So, I have been listening to the song Too Much by Drake, well too much. Now when it comes to Drake, sometimes I enjoy him, sometimes I just can't.

....but this song. This song is different. I can't stopppp....I won't stopppp...I included it in Tuesday's Tunesday and it's just too good. That means you get to hear it again for #backthatazzup Friday. You're welcome.

thankful thursday

These are a few things that I am thankful for this week and it makes me happy. 

::The fact that it has not rained the past few days and actually feels like fall. 

::I attempted a short run yesterday. My knee was only a little sore by the end of it. 

::I got to run here. 

::I am liking my new neighborhood. 

::The new Amos Lee CD is on spotify. 

::I woke up at 5am, had coffee, listened to Van Morrison, and read my personal training book. 

:Tomorrow is Friday.

::Brad and his parents brought home these yesterday.

::I had my mine for breakfast. There was bacon on it.

 What are things that are making you happy this week?! Hopefully you say bacon.

what is wrong with me?!

So, I have been doing this weird thing lately, where I haven't been hitting the snooze button and it is producing some interesting results, such as, but not limited to: 

::having enough time to do my hair

::sitting down and eating my brekkie at the table 

::leaving for work, not just on time, but early

::not feeling rushed out the door

::stopping for coffee if I want

Like I said it's weird, but I am kind of a fan of it. Now if only I could wake myself up even earlier to get a workout in or maybe study for my personal training certification. Baby steps, people, baby steps. 

In other news, I came across two perfect videos I wanted you to see, because I am such a nice blogger and I like sharing things with other people.  Especially because I went to the gym on Monday for the first time in a few weeks since all my physical therapy started. I forgot how wonderful the gym can be when you're a girl (insert side eye).

No, I don't need help stretching. No, I don't need a spot. No, I don't want to have small talk with you. Just let me work out. 

And this is why I'm not good at yoga.

But no really, do. not. fart.

Brad's parents come to visit today from Indiana for a week and to celebrate I figured I would share some Portland music with you for Tunesday, you're welcome.

Ok, this first song has nothing to do with Portland. I just can't stop listening to it.

So this band has beards and banjos. Gotta love Portland.

Home is where the <3 is

Oh Em Gee!

We did it. We are all moved in. All unpacked. Annnnnnd I didn't get irrationally annoyed once! Not that me getting irrationally annoyed ever happens! 

We said goodbye to the old place. Well sort of, we have to go back and clean still.



Moved everything into the new place.

And have most of the stuff set up even!

There are still small things we need to do here and there and I can't stop pinning ideas for my someday office, but we're in and we're loving it.


It's Riggins approved.

We even had time to meet my cousin and her man friend to go get pumpkins from the Roloff Farm (the Little People, Big World family)

And now it is Monday and I feel like I need another day in my weekend to relax, but oh well.

it's friday, take selfies

Guys,

I have this problem. I can't stop wearing this jacket.

Nice face, Brooke. Another desk selfie? Really? Might have not realized my volume was on and when I took this picture the click sound went off. Hope my coworkers didn't hear me taking selfies.

It's not mine. It's too big. It goes with none of my outfits, but this is the third time this week I have stolen it from Brad. In fact, I was really sad when he had it on before I could take it from him yesterday. It's just so fleecy and warm and perfect on the inside. Plus, my office is freezing so I feel like I need to be dressing for snow while sitting in my cube. 

In other news, Brad must have caught on to my subtle hints (aka blog blast), because he went and found a bunch of free boxes for the move tomorrow! Those said boxes are still empty and we have a lot of packing to do tonight, but we have the boxes and that is the most important step.
