So you know how I said I was woefully unprepared yesterday? Consider me even more unprepared for today. I forgot there was the awesome linkup 'Always A Kid At Christmas' with Taylor from the Daily Tay and Helene from Helene In Between and I don't have any old pictures at my place. Dumb, I know.
What I do have to share with you though is one of my favorite Christmas albums that I play every year. No, it is not your traditional Nat King Cole or Frank Sinatra. It's not even a compilation of multiple artists. The Christmas album that will forever remind me of my childhood and being a kid at Christmas is Neil Diamond's The Christmas Album circa 1992.
My parents had this album for some awful reason and we would always listen to it on the 4 hour drive home from my Grandparents' house after Thanksgiving. This album is how we knew it was time to start celebrating Christmas. My personal favorite would be The Diamond's rendition of Little Drummer Boy. Bahhh rump a bum bum.

haha!! this works perfectly!! i love it.
Amy Grant was always a staple at my house during the holidays... And you gotta love Neil. Excuse me while I use these playlists as the soundtrack of my snow day. :)
While I can't get enough of Neil Diamond, Breath of Heaven gives me PTSD from choir in high school. Along with Mariah Carey's All I Want.
Yay for getting a baby tree! Also, yay for Neil Diamond. I really enjoy his music!
OMG, so bad they're good. Well, kinda...
YES for christmas playlists from Brooke!!!!!!!!!!
I've never heard the Neil album, but I grew up on Amy Grant. I was kinda obsessed with her in late elementary school, and even got her Christmas video cassette where she's in Tennessee.
Yayyyy a baby tree!!! Check your local nursery's I bet you could find a small table top tree at one of them.
my mom played that Amy Grant album all the time. really all Amy Grant.
Have a great day!

If I was really technologically savvy I could take this playlist you listed and figure out how to follow you on spotify and piggyback off all of your playlists. But alas, I'm not sure how to do that.
Way to mix Tunesday and link-up!!!! I'm gonna go fall asleep to Christmas music now.
I'm gonna have to listen to this christmas stuff when I get home. I dont think work wants to hear it right now.. stand by!
But i do love me some xmas music, pretty excited for this.
Oh Amy Grant, how so many of my memories included your throwback songs...
These are increadible!!! :-D
I grew up with the Amy Grant CD, too! Whenever I hear "Tennessee Christmas", I am 10 years old and am right back in my parents house! Funny how music brings up such strong memories.
I *gush LOVE Christmas music!
I will definitely be checking out these christmas jams! I find myself getting very easily tired of what they play on the radio. And also, NEIL DIAMOND.
Love all the songs you chose!!
Oh me oh my I used to LOVE that Amy Grant Christmas album!!!! Can't say I ever got into Neil Diamond's though. ;)
Neil Diamond and Amy Grant. Yesssss.
Oh man! Amy Grant brings me back to my childhood too! Whatever happened to her?
So Much Sunshine
Amy Grant! Who *didn't* have her stuff back then?! Seriously though...I swear the magic of Christmas gets me ever year, regardless of the fact that I'm my upper 20s :)
I'm partial to the Carpenters Christmas and NSYNC, obv.
i STILL listen to Breath of Heaven and that whole CD! Takes me back...
