So it snowed a decent amount in Portland yesterday and is supposed to keep snowing this afternoon. I got to leave work early annnnnd even better I am 'working' from home today. But true life: Portland drivers don't know how to handle snow. It's pretty entertaining for me, since I drove in it every winter growing up. I will admit though, my car is not prepared for snow now, so it does make things a little more challenging. Our traffic yesterday afternoon looked a bit like Atlanta's last week, which is just embarrassing. It took me like an hour and a half to get home and it usually takes me 15mins. It only got worse as the day progressed. Thank god, I didn't have be on the freeways later in the afternoon.
Obviously since it was snowing yesterday, I had to go take photos and play in it for a little bit since Portland does not get it all that often. Then we ventured out to the store and got items to make this soup. Bearfoot Contessa knows what's up.
And since it is #backthatazzup Friday, I wanted to share a song I can't get enough of right now. Now I am going to peace out of this betch, I have snow to go play in. I mean work to do.....Cheers!

Uh huh. It is all fun and games until the snow paralyzes your city! Meanwhile, it started to "snow" here again yesterday afternoon and after the "incident" that took place down here in the south last week....we all flew out of the offices at the site of first flake! It didn't stick, but you can NEVER be too safe around these parts.
