nike made me sweat

So on Monday and Tuesday I was able to do some product testing for Nike.  No, they are not a partner of the blog and they don't send me shit for free (insert sad face).  The manfriend works there and asked if I wanted to do it, because they needed non-nike people to test the clothing.  I did get a $25 gift card for each night I tested though, hooray!

On Monday we tested tops and on Tuesday we tested bottoms. We had a trainer named Megan, who was maybe 5'2, but a little ball of steel and she kicked our asses, scratch that, kicked our arms and shoulders for an hour an half the first night and legs the second night. I don't know about you guys, but I don't have specific muscle group days. I tend to do workouts that are total body and feature a little bit of everything. So an hour and a half of just one muscle group left me feeling estra sore.

On the first day we did multiple circuits.  A lot of body weight exercises, med balls, kettlebells, etc, and then a half an hour of dynamic yoga.We also got to try out TRX bands, too.  It was my first time dabbling in the world of TRX and I think I am a big fan!

For the second day of testing, we were testing bottoms. Did I mention they were Heather Grey?! Not cool, Nike, not cool.

For this class Megan took us through an hour long Nike Training Club session and then more dynamic yoga at the end. Now, I am not your average girl when it comes to working out.  I am a sweater; more or less sweat like a dude.  Heather Grey and I don't get along. Plus, my station was set up right in front of the window, so the sun was beating down on me the entire time just making me sweat even more. Thanks a lot nice weather. I was easily the sweatiest kid in the room, hands down. Go Me! Do I get a prize for that?!

Moral of the story, heather grey and I don't get along, but I had an awesome time and got two great workouts in at Nike. I also like to think I gave good feed back, so maybe they will ask me to test for them again! If not, I am 50 Nike dollars richer so there's that....

Cheers to sweat!?

PS. Happy National Running Day!!!

1.5 hr@1 muscle group sounds grueling, even with the variety (though that helps with attention spam to hide the suffering). I'm glad you were able to give them the all important feedback on showing sweat. Myself, I like to wear all black so you can't tell how sweaty I am and I look like a ninja.

That actually sounds like a pretty fun experience...And Nike money is always a bonus!

That is an epic deal! Free workouts, gear AND giftcards? Hook me up! Can you move afterward? I had no idea it was national running day.. I gotta say I'm a little disappointed there are no photos of you being the sweatiest kid in class though..

Jealous! What are you going to spend your Nike moolah on? I'm not a fan of gray pants either. Black all the way for this girl! Hide all those imperfections and sweat!

Free workout with a trainer and free money? Sounds like a good way to spend a few nights! Sorry about the grey though - hope you left that in your feedback!

My friend and I were just talking about grey work out pants and how not cool they are! Seriously...even for non sweaters, grey is not for pants! Really for shirts either...maybe just not for anything that might be worked out in!

Ha-ha you described Megan perfectly. You meet her and you think, oh she's harmless. Then she gets you down on the floor in the puddle of your own sweat.

I'm glad you had fun!
