50 years ago today, Martin Luther King Jr. gave his memorable 'I have a dream' speech. Our world needs more people like him and we all need to incorporate his ideologies in our own lives more, even if it is on a smaller scale. In honor of the celebration, I wanted to share a few of my favorite MLK quotes today.
Also, this piece by the Times is worth checking out.
Be Kind.

i have a dream and you're the star of it..um i mean...
;)
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
That is a very specific quote and dream I have for my mixed race child. I love MLK JR. and I agree the world needs more people like him.
This is great!! I wish so many more people would think this way.
So happy you posted this great reminder of this wonderful man on this blessed day. Amen, sister!
I had never visited DC until this past May and being there and seeing how HUGE the National Mall is and realizing that he filled it with people is amazing.
thanks for the reminder, love this.
What a great reminder. If only we all thought like this on a dialy basis.
Love those quotes. That Time piece is awesome- like a civil rights museum on the internet.
That second quote is one of my faves. His words were/are so powerful.
"let no man pull you low enough to hate him" ugh-- wish I was that big of a person. Also I heard in a news story today that the 'I Have a Dream' part of the speech was improvised, not on his script. I had no idea!
Awesome reminders! :)
Great post! Love the reminders!
