I am officially old, the baby sister is getting her senior pictures taken this weekend by one of my real life besties, Anne. I have talked about my sis on the blog before and she only reads my blog when posts involve her, she is selfish like that. I am still in denial that this is her senior year of high school. She better not go to college too far away. I think I will miss her too much....Have I mentioned I am having a really hard time coming to terms with her growing up?
When did she decide it was ok to become a teenager?
When did she start driving?
When did she get to be a senior?
When did she get to be cooler than me?
When did she start being funnier than me?
WHEN DID I GET SO OLD?!
Half the time I feel like her second mom (the cooler one of course) even if she never listens to all my good advice.
Basically, what I am saying is, stop growing up, sister. I don't like it.
***Update, as of this morning my sister is officially cleared to play basketball again after her torn ACL!!!! Cheers all around!***
Love,
Your, cool, wise, smart, funny, pretty, older sister :)

My best friends daughter started her Junior year of high school this week. I feel super old when I think about her as a baby.
I know the feeling. My youngest sister will be a senior in high school this year too! It's SO weird!
Goodness, I know what you mean! I think I realize my age a million times more when my younger siblings go through big life events!
y'all are so cute. I treat my sisters like i'm thier second mom as well. they love it.
Ha! My sister is a sophomore in High School and I totally feel your pain. When did we say it was okay for them to grow up and get pretty and be cool?? We didn't.
Haha, I hated when my sister grew up. I monitored her LiveJournal (remember those?) and cringed every time I read it. I wanted to protect her from everything.
Now she is married and has a toddler, so in a way, I feel like she became older than me. But I was right by her side at her wedding and when her son was born, and THAT makes her growing up all worth it.
Sisters rock!
it's so weird watching someone grow up! i was all freaked out too when my sister posted a "first day of 7th grade" picture yesterday. i'm like what?! weren't you just 7yrs old like yesterday?!
Yay for being cleared. And isn't being an older sibling a funny thing? I always feel like much more of a second mom. My brother started college this year and I had to call him on his first day and be all like "Did you find all of your classes? Did you make any friends?"
I have a almost 12 year old little sister and I still remember when I was changing her diapers. Now I follow her on instagram and talk to her about clothes and boys. It's crazy.
OMG I love this!!! Mostly because my little sister just left for her freshman year in college and I am still having a harder time with it than she is. But I was the same way when she got her license I swore she was too young... time goes way too fast for me!
So sweet! I bet the age difference between you two is awesome now. Crazy how they go from being kids to basically adults almost instantly. Not cool.
Girl, we ARE getting old. My 21-year old sister is getting MARRIED for crying out loud. I feel like a grandma.
You and your sister need to stop being so ridiculously pretty.
my littlest sister is a sophomore in college this year. I hate it! But I guess that is a good thing that she is in school, if she does have to grow up.
Hey girl! I know these things are probably kind of corny, but I nominated you for a Liebster Blog Award because you're one of my most favorite bloggers ever. Anyway, here's the post I mentioned you in: http://wine-cheese-and-workout-capris.blogspot.com/2013/08/more-than-anyone-ever-wanted-to-know.html :) Hope you're having a great weekend!
Aw you are so pretty girlie! It's funny...you remind me so much of one of the disk jockey's on our local morning radio station here in Raleigh, NC.
I think yall look sooooo much alike! Mainly when you smile.
You can check her out at www.g105.com/bob&theshowgram (Brooke aka "PeanutButter") Funny name similarity too. haha
