Is anyone else bad at family reunions or is it just me? I always end up still just talking to my immediate family. Whoopsies.
We had corn on the cob though, so I didn't even care. Who doesn't love corn on the cob? YUM.
To answer your question, yes that is butter in there to dunk the cob. *clarification: not all of that is butter, some of it is hot water.* We aren't total fatties around this joint.
So yeah, had a family reunion this weekend. It was a blast. Ate yummy food (duh), hung out with family, and enjoyed the nice weather. What more can you ask for? I suppose you could have asked me to visit more with my distant relatives, but that seems like a lot of work ;)

Family reunions are awkward no matter what. Is it bad that I don't even know some of the people there? Whoops!

Looks like you had a fun weekend. Lol That's a lot freaking butter!!!! We don't do family reunions bc my family lives in different parts of the state but it would be fun to do one.
Hahaha. My family is so big I don't even know half the people at family reunions... which gets extra awkward when they know me and start asking about my life
family time is the best. i recently learned 2 weekends ago that the lady down my street is my 3rd cousin! so we headed over to her house and we chatted and got to know each other while our kids played together. it was awesome. she was also putting the family tree together so it was great to see how we were related!

i can't get over the butter in a jar for dipping corn. That's the most genius idea ever and i'm about to start employing it for other food items as well. i've never been to a family reunion but at least now I know what I'm in for if I ever get the chance to attend one!

To clarify on the butter comment for everyone, the jar is not 100% butter. It's about 90% water and 10% butter, with the butter floating on top the water.
