ULTA - I can't quit you

ulta picks

ulta picks by brooke-l-smith

It's official. I have a problem. I can't control myself when I go to ULTA. Here is the deal. I haven't gone to ULTA in months. I told myself I couldn't buy any new makeup until I ran out of what I already had. Smart right? Of course with my luck I started running out of everything at the same time. So then I got excited and made a trip to ULTA yesterday. Somehow I bought more than what was on my original list - foundation and dry shampoo. Surprise, surprise... In my defense though even though the Urban Decay setting spray was not on my original list, I have been eyeing it for quite some time. Yesterday both the full size and travel size were in a pack together for 32 dollars...whereas the full size alone was sitting right next to it for 30. In Brad's mocking words 'only an idiot wouldn't buy it with that kind of deal' I couldn't agree more Bradley! The Boi-ing concealer by Benefit though, I am not sure how that ended up with me it's magic.....

Anyways, haven't used everything yet, but I am excited to try it all out! I just ran out of the Tarte BB Cream and really liked it. I am hoping I like the Tarte foundation as well, plus it should have a little more coverage - which is needed because this girl's skin is still in junior high evidently. Has anyone tried it? What are your thoughts?

Cheers!

<3 BB

I am in LOVE with that Tarte Foundation! I purchased mine at the begging of December and I have been loving it and it has replaced my long time Makeup Forever favorite. I wanted to try that Boing concealer but was talked into a Tarte one instead. I am not 100% happy with it...but I have the worlds darkest under eye circles and in my 30 years of life I have yet to find ANYTHING to control them. I would love to hear what you think about the Boing.

I haven't tried the Urban Decay setting spray either. Heard wonderful things and I love all my UD products.

I am with Kathy, the pretty packaging and lights totally suck me in and its a real problem!!

Here I thought I was the only one that had to ration my ULTA trips. I super <3 dry shampoo though (hello lifesaver) and anything by benefit just seems to follow me to the counter too... haha.

True confession: I have never been in an ULTA. I knew that it would deplete all my dollars and I just never let myself. The longing is growing pretty strong though, not sure how much longer I can hold out.

Curious to hear about Boing. I just ran out of Benefit's Erase Paste which is what I use as a concealer but I think I am going to switch over to Boing!

Okay I've never been to Ulta (I know, what's wrong with me??) but I can imagine it's a lot like sephora and I just go crazy in there.

Tarte foundation is awesome. It's a little dewey for my face right now but it's still one of my faves!
