I am back from Tacoma and oh so happy to be back in my own space and my own bed. Since I have been gone all weekend and learned all this new knowledge while I was away...I wanted to link up with Katie from I'm Your Kaite Que and share a few of the things I learned. Link up with us - the info is below!
//First thing I learned over the weekend - As the team mom aka the only female assistant coach to a track team full of college athletes, you do a lot of waiting around for Track kids to get ready. The best way to wait is to obviously take selfies.
//I forgot how nice it is to have a hotel by yourself for an evening.
//I was happy I had a hotel room to myself to finish the The Fault In Our Stars. It made me cry and cry and cry some more. So, so, so, so good.
//I also just learned that the girl from Divergent is playing Hazel Grace in the movie. Mind blown. Who knew?
//I learned that rain free days at the track make me the happiest.
//I also learned that rain free days will give me a sunburn on my forehead, even though it wasn't actually that warm. I learned I am just that pale.
//I can cook a mean salmon dish when I want to. You can be jealous of this beautiful, colorful meal.
//Lastly, I learned that sleeping in your own bed after 4 days of being away from it - is a beautiful, beautiful thing. In fact, I wish I was still in bed now....
Cheers to making it to another Monday!

So I guess I'm supposed to read The Fault in Our Stars?
Track kids are so generous, giving you the time to take all the beautiful selfies! (really, stop looking so cute, betch)
Ohhhh your dish looks lovely! I am not even a huge fish fan, but yum!
The sun is constantly reminding me of how pasty white I am. Rude!
Hope you have a great week!
while i love travelling, near the end of every trip, no matter where i am, i want my bed and miss it!

Vodka and Soda
I dont think I've ever had a hotel room to myself. It must be glorious.
i love alone hotel time! so glad you enjoyed the fault in our stars, sounds like i need to get a box (or ten) of tissues ready. i think the kid that plays caleb in divergent is in the movie as well, which i found kinda weird, but i could be wrong.
That meal looks delish lady!
Well done, team mom!
she's in both movies?! why do i love that so much?
Shailene Woodley is the new JLaw. She lives on a farm and doesn't do Hollywood, apparently. Also I LOVE being in a hotel alone, four nights sounds lovely!
what track team are you an assistant on? my hubs is an assistant track and cross country coach and the season is almost over PTL hehe ok it hasnt been that bad
Ooooh I keep meaning to read that book!! Looks like a fun weekend :)
I have been wanting to read that book too!! Let me know what you think when you're done.
The weather looks so nice where you were this weekend!
Coming home to my own bed is one of my most favorite things! Especially when the sheets are so fresh and clean!
I always feel the opposite -- whenever I sleep in someone else's bed, I'm reminded of how much mine sucks.
Oooh that dish looks AMAZING. Now I'm hungry. Haha.
I also just finished The Fault in our Stars and bawled. So good, so true, and cannot wait for the movie.
Ugh, it makes me want to read the book again. It's just so freaking good!!
That first picture?? So pretty! Still diggin' the haircut.
I'm glad I'm not the only pale one around here..
For some reason a night in a hotel room alone is so much nicer than a night at home alone. I think it's the perfect fluffy hotel beds.
I wish I was I'm bed still, too!
I love having a hotel room to myself!
A hotel room by yourself? That sounds glorious. Also, The Fault in Our Stars made me cry a ridiculous, embarrassing amount... I'm glad I'm not alone on that one.
But isn't it a sad book?! I'm not sure if I want to subject myself to crying :( :(
The Fault in Our Stars had me bawling like a total baby, but it was such a good book. I can't wait to see the movie even though I know I am going to cry a whole bunch during that too. Ugh.
Bed is always the best place after being on vacay! Here's to a sunny week in Portland! :)
