things I learned in Tacoma

Hello blog blog,

I am back from Tacoma and oh so happy to be back in my own space and my own bed. Since I have been gone all weekend and learned all this new knowledge while I was away...I wanted to link up with Katie from I'm Your Kaite Que and share a few of the things I learned. Link up with us - the info is below!

imyourkatieque

//First thing I learned over the weekend - As the team mom aka the only female assistant coach to a track team full of college athletes, you do a lot of waiting around for Track kids to get ready.  The best way to wait is to obviously take selfies.

//I forgot how nice it is to have a hotel by yourself for an evening.

//I was happy I had a hotel room to myself to finish the The Fault In Our Stars. It made me cry and cry and cry some more. So, so, so, so good.

//I also just learned that the girl from Divergent is playing Hazel Grace in the movie. Mind blown. Who knew?

//I learned that rain free days at the track make me the happiest.

//I also learned that rain free days will give me a sunburn on my forehead, even though it wasn't actually that warm. I learned I am just that pale.

//I can cook a mean salmon dish when I want to. You can be jealous of this beautiful, colorful meal.

//Lastly, I learned that sleeping in your own bed after 4 days of being away from it - is a beautiful, beautiful thing. In fact, I wish I was still in bed now....

Cheers to making it to another Monday!

Danced to the sun gods

So I decided to dance to the Sun Gods after ANOTHER cold and rainy track meet on Saturday. I know I live in Portland. I know I have grown up in Oregon all my life. I know I am supposed to embrace the rain and I do, most of the time - but I am just tired of it now. I am ready for funshine and warmer weather and not having to pack my rain jacket whenever I leave the house.

Good news is the Sun Gods listened to me and they are saying it will be a lovely 73 degrees at some point today. Granted it will probably rain tomorrow. But. Whatever - I am living it up today and even wore a skirt. Sorry not sorry to those I blind with my white legs today.

In other news, I turned down cookies not once, but twice this weekend. Give me a gold star, damnit. This whole cutting out processed sugar and the icky carbies has not been nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Granted I am cheating a tiny bit and still having green fruit smoothies in the morning, but eh, playas gone play.

Here is the only photo I took all weekend - post rain and mud at the track meet. Hashtag over it.

Let's not be Sun Shy any more, Portland. Kthanks, Bye.

Make the beeping go away

Yeah, yeah it's Daylights Savings time. We lost an hour of our lives. I am tired, blah blah blah... We know, we know, we are all tired. Instead, let's talk about how this morning a little before 4am I was woken up by a beeping that would not stop! After about 20 mins of listening to the beep go off every 15 seconds (I counted) I ventured out into our living room, grunted at the sound, couldn't figure out where it was coming from and tried to go back to bed. Needless to say my grunting didn't make the beeping stop and falling back into a sound sleep didn't happen. Finally when my alarm went off at 5:38 I think I had officially gone crazy and I am now extra tired. Turns out the stupid beeping wasn't coming from our living room smoke alarm like I assumed it was, but the one downstairs by our front door. I didn't even know we had one down there!!!! Also, Bradley slept through all of this. HOW?! I have no idea...but I will probably hold it again him the rest of the day.

I think I would rather experience an actual fire than have to live through that beeping again. uggggggh. Enough of my complaining. Let's look at selflies from the weekend. I have decided you will get at least one awkward selfie from every track meet this year and since I was at two different tracks on Saturday you get a bonus selfie (you're welcome). You also get two high quality selfies from the first Timbers game of the season.

I swear MLS season just ended last week. How is it already here again?! I am not sure I am mentally ready for it, but I guess the people of MLS don't care about me. Also, fun fact - between track meets and the Timbers game on Saturday I was pretty much standing from the hours of 8am - 9:30pm. It feels really good on your back by the end of the day if you were curious.

This post sounds whiny. I am going to stop typing and drink more coffee. I'll try to be better tomorrow.

Cheers!

all of the house of cards

It's official, my weekends will be slim to none from here until the end of May, because there are Saturday meets. Had the first track meet of the season on Saturday. It was cold and rainy, but went really well. I pretty much looked like this the entire meet.

It also meant I got to treat myself to a sammie and a cookie from Great Harvest Bread Company on my way home form the meet. Man I miss them. yum!

Other than that my weekend was quiet.  I hung out with Jessi for wine and paleo tacos night after the meet and Sunday consisted of a LOT of House of Cards watching.  To the point I only left my house once on Sunday afternoon to go to the gym in between episodes. I watched some of the Oscars, but then went back to House of Cards after Kevin Spacey did his best Frank Underwood voice. AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH PHOTOBOMED U2! I HATE BONO AND I LOVE BENEDICT. So this made me the happiest girl in all the land. Also, I attempted to hang some elementary school level paintings I made last weekend.  Also number 2, I don't know how to make things level. I need to fix that far one, bad.

So yeah, welcome rainy Monday. I am not glad you're here.

Cheers!

track is back

Guys,

Getting all Fan Girl on you with Miss Sarah, because Willamette University's Track season is in full swing. Our first meet is this weekend! Holy Moly, that pretty much means all my Saturdays until the end of May will be spent at the track. It also means I will be in full nostalgia mode for a while. True story, I miss competing. Last night I even brought my Javelin boots out to the track so I could throw around with the girls. In case you're wondering, I've still kind of got it. The little freshman gal I coach was impressed. Don't worry though, my old coach also saw me throwing and brought me back down to reality when he pointed out my form was garbage. This ego is still in check.

//Anyway, enough about my love of track and field. Let's get to some entertaining links.

//Not really eating much dairy these days, but how good do these new flavors look?! HAZED AND CONFUSED GET IN MY MOUTH!

//My love for Paul Rudd runs deep.

//This was kind of a given, but Juan Pablo is the worst.

//This instagram feed. Cuteness overload.

//JLaw and the history of cool girls

//Holy crap:  the average American consumes 16 percent of his or her daily calories from sugars added during food production

//Lastly, for #backthatazzup Friday, I have this Jam I heard yesterday on the way to practice. It reminds me of summer. It features the lead singer of Sublime. It also makes me miss the original lead singer of Sublime. I mean Rome,  you're cool and all, but I miss Bradley Nowell. Why do all the talented ones OD from heroine?! Anyway...... It's sunnyish in Portland today, so I am going to pretend it is summer.

tuesday + j crew

Mmmyello!

Come check out my new pants!!!!! Well, technically, they are capris, but still, I am in love! If you can be in love with a pair of pants and not be invited onto TLC's show My Strange Addiction that is.

But no really, how cute are these pants?!

Thanks, J Crew Outlets! The best news is, they were on sale and I have had a gift card since Christmas (self control much?!), that I have been waiting to spend. Bad news, the entire store was 40% off and I might have purchased more than my allotted gift card amount. Whoopsies. Sorry, not sorry.

::Another pair of fun pants - pink ones!.
::The answer is yes, I needed more stripes in my closet.
::Check out how bright this orange sweater is!

Anyway, enough about my new clothes. We get it, you love J. Crew, Brooke.

Here are this week's tunes!

Rumor has it, this little lady with the accordion is the Tallest Man On Earth's wifey. Why can't I be talented like both of them?!

I can't get enough of the Lone Bellow. I have featured them on Tuesday once or twice before and I am not even mad about it. Their folk vibe, just does it for me.

Yellow Ostrich :: Ghost
The answer to your question, Yellow Ostrich, is my eyes are blue not green.

Scoob, you will like this one :) Or at least I think you will like this one, because I have been listening to it on repeat.

Daughters :: Get Lucky (Daft Punk Cover)
I love Daughter. I love Daft Punk. I love Pharrell. I love this cover. The end.

In honor of their new album dropping today, had to share this gem. Did you know they don't use a guitar in their music. Crazy right?!

Part dance. Part electronic. Part chill. All parts great vocals.

Oh and just for kicks and giggles, here is a picture from this past weekend's track meet.  Hayward Field, you're pretty.

Cheers to Tunesday!

shenanigans at uptown

Oh Monday, go home. I am not ready for you yet. Instead, let's recap my weekend shall we?!

Friday and Saturday:
Yay for sunburns out at the track!! Actually, I didn't even get that burned, I was a good girl and wore sun block both Friday and Saturday (go me!) Super proud of all my athletes and the team this weekend.  Both the men's and women's teams took second place at the Northwest Conference Track and Field Championships and I would like to take full credit for all their success, obvi.  Kidding, the athletes rocked it. I was just there to remind them to relax and compete.  It is always fun to be a part of a person's success and being out at the track always makes me missing competing.

After the meet on Saturday evening, I met up with the boy and our friends Tyler and Cory at our favorite spot, Uptown Market for their campaign party. They are currently raising funds to launch a brewery

The place was hopping. Live music, food carts, beverages, and a lot people.

Oh! and Cornhole (or bags if you're into calling it that) they're my favorite!

You should ask the boys who won.....Hint: my team!!!

This is the point in the evening where things start to go downhill quickly.

Sunday:
Now, I do not consider myself a big drinker and I have many reasons for not being a huge fan of alcohol. I probably don't even need to be discussing this on the blog, since my Mom, Grandma, and Aunts are my biggest readers, but this girl gets hungover bad, like real bad. I am just not good at it, which honestly isn't a bad thing. I don't even have to drink a lot to be a struggle.  This was the case Saturday. I think I had a total of 4 drinks and I was down for the count all day Sunday. We are talking throwing up for a solid 12 hours.

Don't let the popsicle form fool you. That there folks is Pedialyte and I couldn't even keep that down. It was like demons were leaving my body - taunting me for my sins or something. Not to mention the migraine that came with.  Jeez, I get it, I shouldn't drink. What did I do to make you so mad at me, God?!

After yesterday, this girl won't be touching the demon liquid for quite some time (or maybe just nurse one drink the entire evening) and I am quite ok with that.

What kind of Shenanigans did you get yourself into this weekend?!

weekend roundup

These weekends are just flying by and I don't like it.  Let me clarify: I like my weekends, I don't like how fast they leave me.

Friday after worked Brad and I attempted the CrossFit Open 13.5 workout:

It was hard, but I got more reps finished than Brad did so there's that :) Granted, his weight for the thrusters was more, but no one needs to know that.

The most annoying part of the workout was the fact that my lungs wanted to explode we do not belong to a Crossfit Box (aka gym) and so we have to make do with what is available at our local LA Fitness.  We ended up having to wait like 15 mins after our warm up for the squat rack / pull-up bar which was really annoying.  Almost annoying enough to want to bag the workout... almost.  Nevertheless, we got it done and I finished with a total of 75 reps or 2 full rounds of the 15 thrusters and 15 pull-ups and then another 15 thrusters before the 4 mins was up.  Let me tell ya, my body was sore on Saturday.

Speaking of Saturday, it was spent at Willamette's track, where it rained pretty much all day. I'm talking downpour, didn't stop, sideways at times, annoying rain.  I was there from 9am till almost 7pm and it definitely poured for over half of that time.  I looked like I had just gotten out of the shower by the end of the meet. Needless to say by the time I got back to Portland a hot bath and bed were calling my name.  Brad had gone to the Timbers game with a friend since I couldn't go and he might have found me sitting up in bed, asleep, with the light on, iPad in hand when he got home. Long hair, don't care.

Don't I look so official with my clip board?! Image from here

My tiredness crept into Sunday, because I woke up at 7:30 wandered out to the couch where Brad was playing FIFA and fell back asleep until 9. It was awesome, until I woke up hungry and we had no food.  After a quick trip to the grocery store we made a breakfast hash. It was glorious.

Can I just say that my sweet potato / yam concoctions are really starting to hit their stride:

{what you need:}
::1 diced yam
::6 pieces of turkey bacon
::1 avocado
::4 over-easy eggs
::1/2 a green pepper
::1/4 of a red onion
::dash of cinnamon
::dash of garlic powder
::Red pepper flakes
::Black pepper
::finish it off with tapatio hot sauce.

{what you do}
::Chop up all the veggies and turkey bacon
::Sprinkle with cinnamon, garlic powder, and the red and black pep
::Cook until the yams are soft and the bacon is sizzlin'
::In a separate pan, fry the eggs until they are over-easy (keep those yokes nice and runny)
::Throw the fried eggs on top and break the yokes so all the goodness oozes into the hash.
::Then nom away :)

After a lazy morning, I finally pretended to get my life together and cleaned the apartment, which had been neglected for the past few days.  Speaking of cleaning, does anyone know what makes the Mr. Clean - Magic Erasers so magical?! Do they have cocaine in them or something?! These things don't stop. They are awesome.

While cleaning, I came to the conclusion that Brad and I have a Nike problem. This photo only represents a portion of our shoe collection.  We need to find a better storage option instead of right in right of the door or get a place with a second bedroom to just store our shoes.... hmm, decisions, decisions.

Speaking of running shoes, after we cleaned Brad and I met up with my sister for a circuit workout on the track, but I'll share the details of that one later in the week (I know you can't wait!)....

So yeah, that was more or less my weekend.... how was yours?!

Brooke's A Dummy - Surprise, Surprise.

First, can we talk about the pleasant surprise that was yesterday afternoon out at the track?! Glad you said yes, because I was going to talk about it either way.... Yesterday was the first day that I didn't wear a sweatshirt for almost the entire practice.  Sun was out and this girl didn't have a million layers on, which is almost unheard of. Normally all the athletes make fun of me and do a layers count each day I am out there because I have at least 4 on. But yesterday was different, yesterday was a beautiful, beautiful thing.  Of course they what do they even know! are now calling for rain for the ALL DAY MEET I will be at on Saturday, but what are ya gonna do?!

That bright thing blinding you in the picture is called the sun, not sure if you have heard of it before.

Can we also talk about the fact that I might have been a dummy and got sucked into a stupid scam?! Brooke being a dummy?! Of course we can talk about this topic... I let myself (and Brad) get talked into one of those 'if you go listen to our presentation, you'll get a 'complementary' trip to a city of your choosing' deals.

When we were at the Spring Beer and Wine Festival last week (which I know, I suck, it's Wednesday and I have yet to blog about it) we were approached by a nice young man to roll some dice to try and win a prize. I blame the IPAs and Cider said sure why not?!

Anyways, we ended up 'winning' and then listened to the guy's spiel and signed up to go check out the company's (Vacation Internationale) presentation tonight, because were told there was no obligation to buy a time share deal if you went and after we attended we will get airline tickets and 2 nights stay at a hotel paid for at the city of our choosing.  All we would have to cover is the taxes portion.  We picked San Francisco, because I haven't been since I was little and Brad has never been.

Now, we both have zero intentions of actually purchasing one of the company's time shares, but figured shoot, why not sit through the stupid presentation and get a trip out of it, if all we have to pay for is taxes?!

Of course, I didn't read any reviews of the company until after we signed up and put down a $40 refundable (as long as you attend the meeting) deposit.  Here is the part where you can start calling me a dummy for actually putting money down. Naturally, the reviews are mixed there are people that are some pro-Vacation Internationale reviews, but mostly there are reviews that are the opposite of positive.

Many of those reviews are from people like me, who signed up thinking they would easily get a 'free' trip just for showing up.  The guy we talked to was up front about it and said the trip is not entirely free and we would have to cover taxes, so I know going into it, it's not 'free'. The main thing I am worried about is, according to the reviews, the salesmen can be hardcore when it comes to you singing up once you get through the presentation. All the bad reviews said you have to sit through their presentation and then have to tell at least 3 different sales people no before you can claim your gifts and sometimes they get rude when you keep telling them no.

Most people who know me, know that I am not very good at saying no.  Luckily, Brad will be there too, because knowing me I would probs sign up for something I have no money for just because I felt bad for saying no.  And we can all bet on the fact that I will get red and splotchy when they keep giving us a 'better deal' and we keep telling them no.

We are still debating if we want to even sit through the presentation or just call the $40 dollars a loss and not deal with claiming our prizes.  Plus, they said if you show up late, they close the doors.... If traffic is bad, we'll most likely miss it and then just go to dinner and laugh about how dumb we were for signing up in the first place.

I'll let you know how it all ends up tomorrow.

Cheers to me being a dummy!

Little Moments

Do you ever have those moments where you think to yourself, 'Gee self, this moment is pretty nice.  I'd like to make a mental note of this and remember it for a little while.'

I had two of those over this hectic weekend.

The first came bright and early Saturday morning as I was driving to this track meet.

It was one of those moment's where I was racing the sun to Salem and there were hardly any cars on the road. I felt content.  Happy with my early morning, happy that I get to be involved with an activity like track that still brings me joy, and appreciating the early morning sun in March.

I'm not sure if it was the chapter of The Happiness Project I had read the day before that had an effect on my mood or just having the opportunity to enjoy the moment of free time, but there was this feeling that I didn't want to take that moment, or everything good I have going on in my life, for granted.  Cheesy I know, but I don't care.

This quote from the author of The Happiness Project really stuck out to me.  It's short and sweet, but conveys a lot:

"Work harder to appreciate your ordinary day.” ― Gretchen Rubin

The second came as Bradley and I sat down for dinner together Sunday evening after the busy weekend.  We decided to turn off the tv and decompress. Just enjoy the music in the background and each other's company.  Plus, I made this soup. All too often we are multitasking or watching tv while we eat, but last night was needed.  Last night was simple.  Yummy food and nice conversation. This moment, too, made me happy and although it was nothing out of the ordinary, it was one I felt like keeping track of.

Now, this morning on the other hand, is one that I can probably go without remembering.  I could use that extra hour of sleep, on top of the fact that I got to work only to notice that both Brad's keys and wallet were in my purse. So, that was a fun trip back home, in traffic.....

But I am choosing not to dwell on that. Instead, I am choosing to focus on my own happiness project. I think my favorite thing about this book so far, is the fact that the author, Gretchen Rubin, was not unhappy to begin with and nor am I.  She just wanted to get the most out of her happiness and that is never a bad thing. Profit Happiness Maximization!

"It's about living in the moment and appreciating the smallest things. Surrounding yourself with the things that inspire you and letting go of the obsessions that want to take over your mind. It is a daily struggle sometimes and hard work but happiness begins with your own attitude and how you look at the world.” ― Gretchen Rubin

What kind of things would you focus on for your own happiness project?!

Cheers!

Where Did My Weekend Go?!

But no really, now that track is in full swing, my free time will be quite limited on the weekends.  Pretty much every Saturday until May is full of track - good news is being out on the track is still one of my favorite places, even if it does make me miss competing! (I will just have to live vicariously through the athletes now).  Add in a high school State Playoff game and a Sunday full of Timber's Soccer and my weekend was gone.  Fun, but gone.

On Saturday Bradley was a trooper and found out how much work it takes for a Willamette Track meet to be successful. I might have signed him up to help out at the meet. He even got to catch chase down javelins.  I am slowly teaching Brad all there is to know when it comes to track and field, which is a nice trade off, since I have the pleasure of learning all there is to know about soccer from him. After we were done in Salem we rushed back to Beaverton to watch my sister's team is their second State Playoff game.  They ended up losing to Westview, but overall had a good season. I know this year has been hard for my sister who tore her ACL right before the start of the season, but I am super proud of her for still being so involved.  Now Brad and I get to be her trainers during the off season and will have her in great shape for her senior year.

She even got to go through warm-ups with them this game. #Progress!

Sunday started out kind of early. It's almost comical what a person will do for a good seat at the Timbers games when your season tickets are in the Timbers Army - General Admission section.  We knew it would be a packed stadium with it being the season opener, so we wandered down to the stadium around 10:45 and waited in line for a bit to get early entry wristbands.  Wristbands are given out to the first 1,200 people that show up game day morning and gives you a set number in line to get into the stadium later in the day. Plus, they open a gate for people with a wristband a half an hour earlier than the rest of the crowd, so you get first choice in seating. Overall, it was definitely worth showing up early for this game since it was packed, but I am not sure we will be getting wristbands for every game.

We did get a quick workout in between wristband pickup and the start of the game, which I needed.  Plus, we tried out the downtown LA Fitness which was nice to have a change of scenery for our workout.

{15 rounds}
::5 pull-ups
::10 push-ups
::15 leg exercise (I split mine up between: squats, lunges, box jumps, and spit jumps)

Took me just under 30 mins to finish the 15 rounds and then cooled down with a little cardio after. Quick shower and we were back to the stadium.

Here is the MLS recap of the game last night.  It was goals on goals on goals. The Timbers struggled a bit in the first half, but then came back to end the game in a 3-3 tie.  I am still learning a lot when it comes to soccer since it was never a sport I played - but from what I have taken away from the Timbers in the two games I have watched so far this season is, they are going to score a lot of fun, exciting goals.  We just need to play better defense.  Shoot.. I could even coach soccer at this rate.

Team Selfie why we wait?! obvi

The sun wanted to be out!

I want to look bad ass with an axe.

We also got to sit right behind Alexi Lalas, who used to play professional soccer and now is a ginger broadcaster for ESPN and ABC Sports.

I stole these last three pictures from the Timbers Facebook page, but they were too awesome not to include.

This tifo was pretty legit and interactive!  It played off of rainy Portland.  There was a sign that said 'Rain or Shine since 1975' and then there were umbrellas in the first section and our section played the vital role of the rain and we got to throw blue streamers.

Timber Joey is such a boss.  I also think he has lost a little weight since last year. Have you been working out, Joey?!

Bird's eye view of the crowd that was rocking until long after the match was over.

So yeah, now it's Monday and I am trying to figure out where my weekend went, but won't really have time to find it since this week and weekend are just as busy...

Cheers!

Hitting the Links :: 2.22.13

It's Friday, Friday gotta get down on Friday!!!

That picture has nothing to do with my post, it just made me laugh - so I figured I would share, you're welcome.  Seems very fitting for Friday.

In other news, I am rocking a new outfit that I might have purchased on accident during a lunch break earlier this week from Old Navy.  I initially headed there for new jeans, because they were having a sale - next thing I know I have purchased 2 pairs of jeans and 3 shirts.  Good news though, it was all on sale! Who knew Old Navy was stepping up their game?  Jessi told me she rocks their skinny jeans, so I figured I would give them a try.

Other shopping related news, I get to hit up the Nike employee store for some new workout gear this afternoon.  Mama needs new running shoes!

Lastly, I am wandering down south tomorrow to watch the little brother coach his first State Playoff game as the Glide Women's Varsity Head Basketball Coach.  He is kind of a big deal. Go Wildcats! (I have no idea if this is actually fact or not, but I think it may be the first time they have made the playoffs since I played there.  Probably not, but it makes me sound cooler, so we'll go with it.)

Now, let's get to some much needed links so you can make it through the rest of the week. drum rollllllll.

Only my trackies will truly appreciate this, but I had to share anyway.

Speaking of track, this gets me pumped every time.

Ok, last awesome track related link.  Hint: this one involves the Harlem Shake so you'll want to watch.

Portland, you will appreciate this.

How cool is this?

Why America, why?!

And this is why I don't post hair tutorials.

Wouldn't hate it if I had either this or this (or both) in my closet soon.

As I mentioned above, I am headed to Nike after work to buy new running shoes. What color do I want?!

Have you tried any of these places to eat in Portland yet? I have really been wanting to try LARDO and Le Pigeon for quite some time now.

Check out this beautiful engagement photo sesh that my talented friend Anne did down in Palm Springs last week. Rumor has it, her dress was from antrho, no wonder I love it so much. Fingers crossed she'll take mine someday wayyyyy down the road.

And that's a wrap folks.  Happy weekend.

Duces,

<3 BB

Coach Babbles

Starting this week, you can officially call me Coach Babbles. (Side note: really hate the photo I took last year for the website.  I should probably get that changed. Brown hair was a bad choice. Why didn't anyone stop me!?)  Willamette University Track and Field officially started their season up on Monday and this is my second year helping out with the multi-events aka Heptathlon and Decathlon, which is what I did in college.  I am pretty excited to help coach again, minus the whole standing outside in the 30 degree weather and rain thing.... Although, it does remind me of the good ol' days...or something like that.

Nationals my Junior year at WU. Photo cred: Christopher Sabato.

Even though it's a little bit of a commute down to Salem, I always love being back at the track. I'll be driving down twice a week for practice and then go to their meets on the weekend.  I learned a lot from helping out last year and am excited to pick up more coaching tips this year.

Coaching, to me, is so much harder than competing.  It's one thing to figure something out on your own and and convince your body to do it, but to explain an event to someone else, in a way they understand, can be hard.  Finding the right balance between constructive criticism and positive reinforcement can also be a challenge, but I love when I can see an athlete start to pick up on something after I have worked with them. (It still doesn't happen a ton yet, because I have a lot to learn on the coaching side of things, so when it does, it's extra cool.)  The schedule will be pretty busy until May, which is perfect timing for the little trip Bradley and I beginning to plan. More details on that to come later though.

So, in honor of track season I have a great workout that can be done pretty much anywhere: home, gym, track, hotel room, you name it... I stole it from Tina over at Carrots'N' Cake.  Bradley and I did it last night in our living room, which proves you don't need a ton of space for it.

I had sent this workout to Brad last week and he had finished it in 22:34, so last night his goal was to beat his previous time. My goal was to try and keep up with him, since I had no previous time to work off of.  He finished it in 19:06 and I tried my best to stay with and finished in 20:57. Burpees suck. Overall, I was happy with my time, especially because it was faster than Brad's first attempt and I was sore from workouts earlier in the week.

Now, let's all cross our fingers and hope that the sun, which is currently out, warms things up a bit for practice!

Cheers,

<3 BB
