i'm a survivor

Oh Thursday,

Let's pick it up quickly please. Here is how my morning has gone so far. I am house sitting with my sister for a few days and the family has smoothie fixings and a magic bullet! Score... Until I realized that the magic bullet has nothing on my Ninja blender at home.Evidently the bullet could not handle my fruit to liquid mixture. It was a struggle making a smoothie this morning. The end result was more large chunks of frozen fruit with some splashes of liquid. Whatever.

It has also been raining for the millionth day in a row here in Portland, so I decided to wear my rain boots. Note to all, Hunters don't have much traction. Second note to all: Hunter boots + rain + slick paint lines in a parking lot = an almost epic fail.
By the grace of the sweet lord baby jeeezus I somehow managed to catch myself from falling and spilling my smoothie everywhere. Bad news, I think I might have almost strained my groin in the process. It is really sore now. We shall see how my workout goes tonight....

Thankfully I am a survivor and I am going to make it through this day....Let's hope.

Cheers to not spilling my smoothie everywhere!

One rainy day, I was walking through the city in my rain-boots, thinking to myself, "I am bad ass. I am unstoppable in these rain-boots. Puddles aint got shit on me." and then I totally slipped and fell down an entire escalator.

I have a ninja too and that thing really does do a great job at liquifying all fruit and chopping up the spinach reallll good!

I too laughed when you said groin. Apparently we are all 12.

Hey, at least you caught yourself right? That qualifies as semi-successful. That happened to me one time and I was holding coffee - you'd think when I went down it'd go all over me, right? Wrong, I threw it up in the air and it drenched the poor old man behind me. I didn't let myself out in public for a week after that...

Man, I am glad you survived! These gifs are a hoot. Confession I had a ninja for one day. I made a smoothie but did not realy pay attention to how to use the ninja and I just put the top in without attaching it to the bottom. A few minutes later I cut right through the holder. I can vouch that the ninja can cut up anything.

The ninja is the bomb.com! Nothing can top it!

Ugh, pulling a muscle while falling, so not fun.

Sending you sunshineeeeee

Oh man I'm surprised your Hunters didn't save you! I wore mine on a friend's boat the other day and it's too big to beach so we had to hop off onto freaking slippery as heck rocks to get ashore...you know the kind of rocks...moss and crap all over...and my boots carried me through just fine! I think they had it out for you on purpose.

You got this shit. I believe in you.

We got the Ninja as a wedding gift. At first I was like WTF is this. i didn't register for this shit. And then I blended...and then I apologized to the blender for making it feel like shit.

Oh jeeze! What's with you and shady starts to the day? I say crank the Ray Lamontange (again) and just give in the pulled groin/smoothie debacle. Tomorrow is a new day.

I did see the chunks in your smoothie snap and was wondering how that was. BUT at least your hair is pretty today and you didn't burn yourself!

I love my hunters, but in always like "shouldn't the traction be better in these suckers" glad you didn't bust it and spill that smoothie!

Why do they make rain boots that aren't useful in the rain? WHY? Hope you are safe and sound at your desk the rest of the day!

today sounds like a day that needs a reboot by going back to bed, pulling the covers over your head and not waking up til tmw morning. you know jamba juice makes smoothies? ;-)

that was all I cared about when you said you had almost fallen that you didn't spill your smoothie.

and then somehow I dropped a whole bite of jello down my jacket while just sitting in a chair.

i'm really sorry about your smoothie but your story saved me from purchasing a magic bullet, which i was about to do, because i am hell bent on getting my eating habits in check. but I guess now i need some deets about this ninja you speak of?

hunters are shit for traction AND warmth, but aren't they so cute? ha! luckily, i don't require them to be at all useful down here (; but really, what I wanted to say to you is: go get a blendtec! will blow all those machines out of the water (and it's like 350 at costco.. well worth the investment, i promise)

and, also, congratulations on surviving your life.. some of us never do (;

Oh lord. Yes those Hunters are dangerous. I have a pair and am always worried about this!

The Magic Bullet/Ninja info was helpful; I've been curious about both of these for ages now but never really knew which would be better. Now I know.

Falling never gets old. Unless you ARE old. 'Cause then that shit can KILL you.

P.S. I STILL have Destiny's Child in my head because of you.
