No, we're not engaged.
No, we did not buy a home.
No, we don't have a baby on board...
We got a Costco card!!!
I don't think you realize how happy this makes me. I was like a child in a candy store. This was me the entire time we wandered around the store. Wait, they have bulk coconut oil?! Bulk meat?! Bulk pickles! Oh my gosh.... BULK DARK CHOCOLATE COVERED COCONUT!!!!! (which I refrained from, go me). Best part the two of us kept our trip under 130 dollars, which I was quite proud of. I quickly realized that with all these bulk items you have to be freaking fit to even load your groceries into your car and back into the house....which ties in nicely with today's post, because I am linking up with some awesome ladies again to share my favorite fitness moves in May. Nice transition, Brooke. Pats self on back.
Kait, Rebecca, and Chelsea want us to share our favorite arm movement today and I am going to cheat a little and share two...the way I see it if you have a pushing movement - you have to have a pulling movement (or two) to go with it. So you don't over-train one set of muscles and forget others.
One of my favorite arm movements that took me a long time to do are pull-ups. I have talked about my love for them before and they are not easy, but there are definitely ways to build your strength to get to a level where you can do them. You can use resistance bands, get help from a friend or chair, and build from there. Here is a good progression video to watch. There are many benefits to the pull-up including strengthening your grip strength, forearms, biceps, triceps, shoulders, back, core, and can even increase your cardio.
My second favorite move is the overhead-press and if you want to make it into a full body movement try thrusters. The overhead-press not only incorporates your biceps, triceps, and shoulders, but it also engages your core and lower body the more your weight increases. Here are 5 benefits to the overhead-press.
Excuse my dirty mirror. That's embarrassing.
Now go get your ticket to the gun show already!
Cheers!

Congrats on the Costco card!!! I really wish we had one a little closer to us, I would be up in there ALL the time. I miss it! I heard they are going to build one about 20 minutes from my house. We shall see...
Dang girl look at them arms! You should see me try to do a pull up, it's pretty hilarious. Come train arms with me ;D ha ha!
I know I'm supposed to be impressed with your awesome arms (and I am) but let's just focus on the wonder that is Costco first... I mean I can just imagine you and Jessi going together and buying healthy stuff in bulk. And wine. The wine section is fantastic. So happy about your big step!
sometimes, i go to costco for lunch, and by that i mean the free samples. FREE LUNCH. but seriously bulk pickles is maybe the best idea ever in the history of ideas.
I have love/hate relationship with pullups. I hate doing them and love when I'm done. But, they are a great way to see how strong i've become or how much I've slacked.
I have a BJs card but can't go too crazy because I have no storage space for all the bulk items!
damn girl!!! I'd definitely buy a ticket to that!
Ummmm also congratulations on the Costco card! Now I can share all my Costco finds with you! :-)

Holy crap I miss Costco.
BEAST MODE. (I've never been to Costco)
Yeah, I LOVE our Costco card!
Yeah, girl!!
I worked as Sam's Club in college. I'll never look at bulk stores the same again. haha
I'm a fan of the giant bags of chips and jars of peanut butter!!
Yes overhead presses! Thanks for linking up!
Check out the guns! I make the bf look at mine almost every day. Can't help it I've never had these before! haha. Just started really loving on the assisted pull up machine at the gym and it's a favorite.
Everything about this post makes me smile and enjoy the fact that we find happiness in the small things in life life BULK items...for some reason, they are always way better than single items...why waste time on a single pack when you can have bulk! Leaving with only spending $130...impressive-it takes so much self control not to pretend I have an unlimited bank account. Lastly, pull-ups...to me there is nothing better or more beneficial than a pull up-consistency is key...cheers to bulk buys the May Challenge and pull-ups!

Costco is where it's at. The closest one is probably 45 minutes from me, but it is soooo worth it.

Why does she make it look so easy? C'mon now!! I do need to get me one of those pull up things though, because there's no WAY i'm doing that in public!
yay costco card! we used to go about once a month and spend over $200, but we have gotten better each time now. we basically only use it for toilet paper and random stuff. its a great place to get meat but we dont really eat meat anymore.
ANYWAY. rambles.
pulling + pushing = so true! one day i will do a pull up. one.day.
