Things I learned From a 90s Dance Party

Halllllo,

Happy Monday, everyone. If you consider Mondays a happy time anyway. I have decided that after a lovely weekend I am not going to let Monday bring me down. Take that, Monday. You've got nothing on me. Anyway, that was a little aggressive. I apologize. Let's link up with Katie from I'm Your Katie Que and talk about what we learned this weekend. Here are just a few things I learned from attending a 90s Dance Party on Friday Night.

imyourkatieque

::Life is better in costume.

::This same life is a little more awkward when not all the people at the party get the memo to be in costume. There were only 6 of us dressed up and probably at least 15-20 people at the house we all gathered at before heading to the dance club

::90s music is too legit to quit.

::TLC, Salt & Peppa just to name a few of my favorite 90s artists. Yes and yes.

Waterfalls by TLC on Grooveshark

::Wearing a Mighty Ducks jersey will get you a lot of shout-outs from random strangers while walking down the street and riding public transit.  Quack, Quack, Quack.

::Bradley informed me that Mighty Ducks 2 is the best sequel of all time. It even trumps Godfather II. Bold Statement, Bradley.

::I am officially too old for dance clubs.

::I am officially too old for anything with a start time after 9pm.

::Actually who am I kidding, I was never cut out for dance clubs and late start times. Age had nothing to do with it.

::My costume on Friday still has nothing on this original 90s get up.  I brought all the boys to the yard.

Cheers to the 90s!

I've never been one for dance clubs are late start times either, but they're definitely made more tolerable when in costume! That jersey is just about the sweetest thing ever!

Costumes makes life so much fun for sure. I'm digging your getup, both this weekend and back in the day!

Im with you on being too old for dance clubs and 9pm or after start times. Glad you seemed to have a good time anyway--can't beat 90s music!

I sing along to TLC's NO Scrubs at least weekly...if not nearly daily in my car.

90's music is in fact too legit to quit.

Bradley would be absolutely right in saying that Mighty Ducks 2 was the best sequel ever. It might be bold but it is true.

Your costumes are awesome. I think dressing like a fool would be the only way to get me into a dance club these days. Old lady status...

Haha! How fun! And life is totally better in a costume! And 90s music is the best. Anytime we roadtrip we listen to the 90s station on pandora...the best.,

You totally rocked that 90's outfit...and kudos to Brad for busting out the Mighty Ducks jersey. It DOES beat any other sequel...I have to agree with him!

I am not purposefully blowing up comments on your blog, but I keep reading and finding things that I love. It just so happens that ALL 90's music is my favorite! Ace of Base, TLC, and Spice Girls were my first cassette tapes.
