Another year - another Bowl-a-Thon with my family. At least this time Brad couldn't make it and didn't embarrass me with wear his Candy Striped Hoosier pants like last year. In other news, I am still not very good at bowling. It doesn't help my sore elbow flares up after about a round of it. I blame javelin. Also, if I look extremely tired in these photos, it's because I had to wake up at 6:30am on my only day off to drive Brad down to the start of the Portland Shamrock run. And the answer is no, I was not a good girlfriend who stayed and watched him cross the finish line after his 15k. I had bowling to attend #priorities.
I should really bowl more than once a year. There was a group of old people next to us just straight killing it. Upper 200s each game they bowled. Who does that?! Oh to be retired and have free time....

andrew actually just bought a groupon for bowling. it's something i never actually want to do, and then once i do it i have fun :)
i stink at bowling! it's probably becuse i'm constantly thinking of the (rented) shoes i'm wearing and it grosses me out!

I am the worst bowler on the entire planet. I actually laugh at myself after I "throw" the ball down the lane.

We went bowling last weekend and I bowled a 91. Possibly my worst score since I was using bumpers. I blame it on the whole30 and the fact that everyone ordered like, six baskets of cheese fries and nachos and all I had eaten that day was a bite of a boiled egg and a slice of lunch meat.
I hated the world that day.
I once learned how to bowl using spin and was okay at it, but the last time I went I was the absolute worst. Ego shot.

My grandmother would have been one of those people next to you killin' it in bowling. She passed those genes onto my dad. He did not pass them onto me.

Bowling is a great family activity. Our family bowled last week for my nephew's birthday, and I was schooled by everybody, even the 6-year-olds (granted, they got to use bumpers).
some might say that your lack of bowling skills is an impressive thing. like you do so many important things that you don't have time to up your bowling game. people will assume that you spend your time figuring out complex algorithms and looking at dinosaur fossils and generally saving the world.
So, fun fact - I took bowling in college and I STILL suck at it! ;-)
you get your bowl on girl more than once a year and hey 6:30am, tell that boyfriend of yours to find a 5K that starts later ;-)
Every time I score over 100 I consider it a success. We too don't go all that often. I hate that when you leave you smell just like it!
