when i grow up...

Teaming up with Whitney and Erin today for a very important When I Grow Up post.

Ever since I was a wee one I have wanted to be an Olsen Twin. I loved Full House, except when Michelle would get in trouble for something. Then I would get sad and uncomfortable and leave the room or cover my eyes with a pillow - true story ask my mom or pops. I was a goodie-goodie when I was little, hated getting in trouble. I definitely watched one too many of their preteen movies. Holiday in the Sun, anyone?!

Sorry, getting off track....back to my point...after all those years of aspiring to be the twins, I think I have finally given up hope on those dreams. I realized I am just not anorexic enough or skinny enough or stylish enough or cool enough to be them.  It's a sad, sad day, but I am slowly coming to terms with it.

Now, don't feel bad for me and think I am giving up on my dreams. Think of it more as redefining my dreams. I have decided to transfer my efforts and move on to a new Olsen.  So here it is, guys - When I grow up - I want to be their younger, but just as pretty sister, Elizabeth Olsen!!!!

Annnnd I have decided that I am going to start the transformation this weekend with a haircut!

But no really, I am getting my hair cut this weekend and am debating cutting off multiple inches, not just my normal please, please don't cut any more than you have to to make it healthy length.

I think this is the look I am going for if I can get the cojones to do it.

I mean she is totally adorable!

She is quirky with a side of nerdy! (just like me, obvs)

But can be a little sex kitten when she wants to glam it up! meow!

*All photos are my from pinterest hairdid board :)

Not to mention, be low maintenance with straight hair and still look fantastic. Plus, I am all about that low maintenance 'ish!

Basically, what I am saying is, my dream for when I grow up has evolved. I have moved on from the high maintenance twins ain't nobody got time for that and want to be Elizabeth Olsen when I grow up. That's not too much to ask is it?!

Honest time though: what do you guys think of the haircut? Do I dare cut that much off?!

Cheers!

AGH! okay. she is darling. and her hair looks great. but I WOULD KILL for your hair exactly as it is right now. srsly. and from my life experience, her length looks super awkward on me. but that's just me. you're a beauty. and you probably don't have a "sqound" face like me. i'm not really making much sense. what i'm trying to say is, i'm sure it would look amazing on you. but if i had your long, beautiful hair i would hold on to it. but i've been trying to grow my hair out for almost 3 effing years. so...whatever. don't listen to me.

sorry this was a weird comment.

I didn't even know they had a sister!! I loved DJ when I was a kid and wanted to be just like her, and of course, was head over heels for Uncle Jessie! Her hair is too, too cute! Do it! It'll be a fun summer look and will grow back if you decide you want it long again. Life is too short to not have fun with your hair!

You can TOTALLY rock it!! But, the last time I cut all my hair off, I was in tears cos I missed it like 5 minutes later, but I think that was because she cut off way more than I asked :(
