woefully unprepared

I am woefully unprepared for this little light blog of mine today. I even did fun things this weekend and yet I have nothing to show for it this freezing Monday morning. It is literally 15 degrees at the moment, but no snow - not fair - at least give me snow with my freezing temps

I did things like make Christmas cookies and drink Peppermint Schnapps and hot cocoa with friends, but didn't upload any of my photos off of my Nikon.I started Christmas cards, but have yet to finish them. I toured beautiful homes in West Linn including one from the Street of Dreams that was decked out in Christmas cheer and took zero pictures....and on top of it all, I didn't get a Christmas tree this weekend.

Worst all, I don't think I am getting a Christmas tree at all.
Now before you call me a Grinch hear me out. It makes me sad, like really sad, but our living space just doesn't have the room for it. So I might get a baby one, we're talking maybe up to my waist, but I just don't know if that's what I want in my life. It's not the same. I see everyone's pictures of their big, beautifully decorated trees and I WANT IT...but I am trying to be practical. New Alert: I hate being practical....So my question is. Do I attempt something small like this:

Or just not have a tree at all this year? There are a ton of cute ones on Pinterest. Can I pull it off?! Help me decide, guys!

This gif has nothing to do with my post, it's just the story of my life.

Linking up with Sami for my lack of weekend shenanigans

Hi, I'm a new reader! I'd get a little tree. Tiny tree is better than none at all! We got a 4 ft one this year and I love it :)

Get a little tree...it'll make you happy. You can pull it off.

And I spilled water all over my Christmas cards, so they have to dry off before I can send them out. Awesome.

that little tree is adorable. I would shoot for something like that if you're going small. so so cute.

A tiny tree is better than none. I kinda wish i'd gone smaller ... they're so expensive!

Get a tiny one! My husband ordered this one for me for my office last year and I loved it! It comes with ornaments and a perfectly sized strand of lights so you have something to make you feel festive! http://products.proflowers.com/flowers/Santas-Workshop-30129385?ref=homenoref&trackingpgroup=pid&tile=hmpg_hero1

We almost didn't get a tree because I felt so behind with it two weeks away. However we braved the cold last night and went and bought one (as opposed to chopping it down like we always do) I have to say it brightened me up right away! Def get a tree no matter what size!

Totally get a little one. I did that last year. It was small and came with lights already on it. Made my little home a little more festive!

Get a small tree!!! Some years when I'm not going to be home on Christmas I still get a tree. Christmas just isn't the same without a tree.

You can totally pull off a little tree. Don't forget, Charlie Brown has a small tree, and Christmas was still wonderful.

I have plenty of room for a large tree but don't have time to maintain it and will be gone for most of the holidays so I got a two foot tabletopper tree from Whole Foods to have a real tree and it looks great with my little twinkling lights on it :)

Get a little tree! Do it!

That last gif was me an hour ago as I had my hand in the bag of white chocolate peppermint pretzels.

I had a tree that was 6 feet tall, but only 3 feet wide at the bottom, so it was pretty skinny, but it felt like a real tree! It was fake, of course, but something like that might work for you! I want to say it came from Wally World for $19.99.

i say do the little tree.

A tree is a tree! My kitten would eat my tree, or I'd get one. Blergh.

All of the Grinch GIFs make my life happy. I could quote that whole movie, and these are some of the best in the bunch.

Aaaaand I totally vote tree. Obviously. Little tree is better than zero tree! Your twinkle lights will thank you.

I've also been very un-festive this year. I opted out of getting a tree since I'm still finding pine needles around my apartment from last year. Anyway, it's how you feel in your heart, that counts. Or, whatever.

Pinterest has some really awesome ideas for trees, some that don't even involve a tree! But I totally say go with a small tree :) It doesn't have to be huge to be festive and fun.
