hmm this weekend. Wish I could say it was jammed packed and exciting, but I can't lie to you people. It wasn't and I was happy about it. In fact, it was the first weekend I had no real plans in like 3+ months, now that coaching track in Salem is over and my travels to Seattle and San Diego are done and gone (RIP vacation). Needless to say, my life was tired....like to the point I left my vacation suitcase in the living room for more than a day and I NEVER DO THAT.
But never fear I did do a few awesome things.
Happy Hour Friday night at Deschutes with some lovely ladies and some man friends. Then headed over to a different friend's apartment for dinner. Which, side note, my friend's apartment rocked and it had a ton of personality, including cement floors and I want it in my life! Andra is also very DIY-ie and it's not fair, because her DIY touches just add that much more to the place. I really need to step up my game.
Practiced some yoga after a Saturday afternoon run. I want to be able to do this. And yes, I made Brad take a photo so I would have stuff to put on the blog this morning. This is what happens when you have a low key weekend. You have to be creative read pathetic with your weekend photos come Monday.
Brad made Sunday breakfast of banana pancakes (but no really, it was just banana, protein powder, and eggs), turkey bacon, and sausage.
Worked out with my sister on Sunday, as she is slowly getting back in shape after tearing her ACL. Just call me Trainer Babbles.
And did a lot of sleeping. Ok, that last one was me in my first big girl bed, not this weekend, but I still did a lot of sleeping this weekend :)
How was your weekend?!
Cheers,
<3 BB

I can never make those banana protein pancakes work out. The first time they were great but every time since they are a big FAIL! What's the trick??

Classy with a Kick
those pancakes look legit!
Those pancakes do look really yummy! And that yoga pose is hurting my head just looking at it!

That sounds like a nice, relaxing weekend. Mine was jam-packed yet again. After hiking on Sunday, I fell asleep on my couch by 9pm.
And yay for yoga goals- good luck with that headstand!
Nothing wrong with catching up on sleep! And I am intrigued by the banana pancakes... sounds like a great alternative to the boxed mix I'm hooked on!
Your headstand impresses me beyond belief. I hate yoga, I always feel like I'm going to let a fart rip or something and everyone will stare.
I usually leave my vacation bags packed on the floor afterward for at least a week before finally opening them up so a day is pretty impressive to me ;)
I still haven't made it to Deschutes Brewery, but it's on my list. Glad to know about the happy hour.
I could never do that yoga pose in a million years, you are so impressive right now.
Hey now, share some of those sleeps with me!
not 'with me' but pass along your ability to sleep secrets
Aaah, the weekend with nothing planned.... a blessing and a curse for me since I get stressed out that somehow I won't appreciate it enough and will "squander" it or something. =( I get what I call "Sunday anxiety" toward the end of the weekend--like, I want this to last forever, so how can I make it feel like it lasts?? Which of course I can't, so just need to learn to enjoy it. Yours sounds very low-key and relaxing which is perfect for a free weekend!!
I've yet to go to that brewery! I'm always open for happy hour ;)
BTW I completely love your san deigo pictures, I'll be going down there 3 times this year and now... I'm completely stoked.
I love having nothing planned! Even though it makes me a little stir crazy, I know it's good for me to just "be" sometimes. Those protein pancakes sound like something I can definitely get behind ;]
I love your "young" picture. I need to find one of those. And that's awesome you're helping your sister get back from her injury. It feels good to feel like you're really helping someone.
Low key weekends are super important! I need one soon!
