Make the beeping go away

Yeah, yeah it's Daylights Savings time. We lost an hour of our lives. I am tired, blah blah blah... We know, we know, we are all tired. Instead, let's talk about how this morning a little before 4am I was woken up by a beeping that would not stop! After about 20 mins of listening to the beep go off every 15 seconds (I counted) I ventured out into our living room, grunted at the sound, couldn't figure out where it was coming from and tried to go back to bed. Needless to say my grunting didn't make the beeping stop and falling back into a sound sleep didn't happen. Finally when my alarm went off at 5:38 I think I had officially gone crazy and I am now extra tired. Turns out the stupid beeping wasn't coming from our living room smoke alarm like I assumed it was, but the one downstairs by our front door. I didn't even know we had one down there!!!! Also, Bradley slept through all of this. HOW?! I have no idea...but I will probably hold it again him the rest of the day.

I think I would rather experience an actual fire than have to live through that beeping again. uggggggh. Enough of my complaining. Let's look at selflies from the weekend. I have decided you will get at least one awkward selfie from every track meet this year and since I was at two different tracks on Saturday you get a bonus selfie (you're welcome). You also get two high quality selfies from the first Timbers game of the season.

I swear MLS season just ended last week. How is it already here again?! I am not sure I am mentally ready for it, but I guess the people of MLS don't care about me. Also, fun fact - between track meets and the Timbers game on Saturday I was pretty much standing from the hours of 8am - 9:30pm. It feels really good on your back by the end of the day if you were curious.

This post sounds whiny. I am going to stop typing and drink more coffee. I'll try to be better tomorrow.

Cheers!

<3 BB

ugh, incessant smoke alarm beeping is the worst! ours is connected to our power source so when the power goes out, incessant beeping all the live long day.

one of my suitemate's fire alarms went off (the low battery sound) for two weeks straight & she didn't even figure out what it was until someone had to tell her. can't even.

Wait, Coach. I can't tell which selfies are from the track versus the pitch. I mean, I assume brad tags along to meets and you get to drink beer while you coach, yeah?

We don't have daylight savings in AZ. Yeah. That threw me for a loop when I had to wake up for work at 5 AM today since I still work Boston hours O.o

Oh yeah, and the beeping? Men can sleep through EVERYTHING. That's a fact.

Girl, I'm so with you today. I really think this whole daylight savings time thing is the worst invention ever. It takes me a solid week to recover and get used to the change.

I'd almost rather have a beep that you can figure out to start with. I think one of my smoke alarms is going, but it only beeps ever 8-10 hours so I can't figure out which one. I guess the logical option is just to change both batteries, but that takes more effort than I'm willing to commit right now.

Hope you get some good rest tonight!

as someone who has just recently gone through the an eerily similar, excruciating situation (only with a clanking radiator instead of a beeping), I hear ya. and I feel ya. at least you didn't cry like me.

also, this makes me a horrible blog friend/stalker, but you keep talking about track meets and I feel like I missed something huge. are you a student or a coach or just a creepy track meet fanatic who goes to track meets where you're neither running nor coaching and don't particularly know anyone there?

HAHAH, when I stayed at my friends in St. Louis last fall, her smoke alarm battery died too and it beeped the entire weekend I was there because we couldn't figure out how to reach it and change it. I only slept because I was so intoxicated. Oh I love your selfies.

When I come to visit, we are NOT doing any of this, simply because I don't want to stand for that long.

ugh! I hate when those darn alarm batteries go low. It is SOOOOO annoying! Especially when it is in the middle of the night or when you cant get it to stop!

4am Saturday morning. *BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!* The goddamn fire alarm in my building was going off. After 5-10 minutes of it blaring, the fire department came on the speaker to say that a pipe had burst on the 7th floor. You know, the floor right above us. So, I did what anyone else would do. I put a pillow over my head and tried to go back to sleep.

He slept through that noise? Now that is reason for concern!

How was the first official game of the season? I think I will need it to warm up a little before I make it out there, I'm a weenie! :)

I was definitely enjoying your rainy day selfies here in Utah where it was 60.

That early in the morning would have found me on a rampage to rip the darn thing off the wall. There's no time for that, especially the day after day light savings.

and btw, im glad you take as many selfies as I do. Although I always have no idea what I'm going to do with them afterward.

I recently notice a smoke detector by my bedroom door, I'm glad I did in case I'm ever woken up by random beeping.
